Open Access Conference Proceedings

The 31^st edition of the traditional steel conference Theory and Practice of Steel Production and Processing took place in Rožnov p. Radhoštěm on 9-10 April 2015. The conference was opened with an introductory speech by Prof. Ing. Jana Dobrovská, CSc., Dean of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering of VŠB - Technical University Ostrava and the expert guarantor of the conference Prof. Ing. Jiří Bažan, CSc. A total of 82 participants were registered at the conference. The conference was attended mainly by people from companies and research institutes. University students were also represented among the participants. The national composition of this year's conference was 69 participants from the Czech Republic, 11 from Slovakia, 1 from Poland and 1 from Germany. 16 lectures were presented. The social evening was held on 9^th April in the Wallachian hut Kordulka.
