Abstract: Titanium aluminide alloys are considered to be attractive materials for aerospace and automotive high-temperature applications due to their high specific strength, creep resistance, and heat resistance. However, their brittleness makes it difficult to manufacture complex-shaped components of these alloys using conventional processes making additive manufacturing a promising way to produce titanium aluminide parts. Abstract: As part of the work, an alternative environmentally friendly technology for water treatment of natural waters was proposed and tested, based on the combined use of hydrodynamic water treatment and ultrafiltration on ceramic membrane filters. The hydrodynamic characteristics of the treated water flow have been determined to achieve the maximum intensification of the oxidation processes of ferrous iron and manganese ions without the use of additional air ejection. Abstract: The paper deals with the possibility of thermodynamic analysis of CaO - SiO2 - Al2O3 - MgO slag system for optimizing of steel desulphurization in a ladle. From the point of view of reducing the sulphur content in steel, the chemical composition of the slag plays a crucial role which affects a critical thermodynamic parameter of the slag, such as the liquidus temperature of the slag, the amount of solid phases in slag at range of refining temperatures, respectively the effective viscosity of slag and CaO saturation in slag.
