Abstract

A corporate information system is a program consisting of a logical procedure which transforms input data to required output data. When establishing corporate information systems using structured methods, data and processes are segregated and then separately modelled. The article is oriented to the object-oriented approach which is based on the principle of combination of data and methods to ensure conformity between the model of the corporate information system and reality. The authors give priority to one of the modules in the context of logistics processes. The overall orientation of the structure and information system functionality depends on the strategic heading of the organisation. Within the planning of the information system, it is necessary to know such strategic objectives, as well as the business plan of the organisation which clearly defines the goals and strategies of the organisation. It is necessary to know the company’s spot and its aimed target. Such information affects the design and functionality of the information system which represents the starting point for the authors when processing the article.
